Cllr Morel D’Souza calls for resident Speedwatch in Fant

Residents are continually complaining about the speed of cars travelling on Farleigh Lane, Gatland Lane and Upper Fant Road. There is constant fear that someone is going to be seriously injured if reduced speed limits are not introduced in these areas.
Cllr. D’ Souza previously was institutional in getting these changes made to Douglas Road in front of St Michael’s School. He says ‘ We should not have to wait until there’s a serious accident before changes are made.’

Morel is campaigning for a 20mph speed limit on Upper Fant Road, Gatland Lane and Farleigh Lane and would like residents to support him. If you would like to join the campaign visit our website www.maidstonelabour.co.uk or e-mail moreldsouza@maidstone.gov.uk
